Purpose
The Cannabis Advisory Group will examine whether the City should change its current ban on cannabis sales and, if so, whether cannabis retail storefront operations or delivery sales from locations within the City, or both, should be permitted in Hermosa Beach. The group will also study and discuss how a change in the ordinance would impact law enforcement and the community. The work of the Cannabis Advisory Group will culminate in a report and recommendation to City Council. The information will be advisory only and does not obligate City Council in any manner.
Work Plan
Meetings (5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
The Cannabis Advisory Group will hold up to six meetings in February and March 2022, to provide input to the City Council on whether Hermosa Beach should change its current ban on cannabis sales and, if so, whether cannabis retail operations or delivery sales.
All meetings will be posted on the City’s community events calendar on the City’s website and agendas posted in advance. Meetings will be held via teleconference and broadcast on local access channels, the City’s website and the City’s YouTube channel. The meetings will also be recorded.
