Fire Service Provided by LA County

On December 30, 2017, the Los Angeles County Fire Department began providing fire and emergency medical services (EMS) to the City of Hermosa Beach. Other services include business inspections and fire life and safety plan check assistance coordinated with the Community Development Department; special event inspections and film permit review coordinated with the Community Resources Department; and community and school event participation. McCormick Ambulance Services

The City of Hermosa Beach has contracted with McCormick Ambulance, which works in partnership with Los Angeles County Fire Department to provide quick, efficient and effective emergency medical transportation services. The Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency determines the maximum allowable rates for ambulance transportation: 

• 2024 - 2025 Ambulance Rates - effective July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025
• 2023 - 2024 Ambulance Rates - effective July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024
• 2022 - 2023 Ambulance Rates - effective July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023
• 2021 - 2022 Ambulance Rates - effective July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022
• 2020 - 2021 Ambulance Rates - effective July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021
• 2019-2010 Ambulance Rates - effective July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 
• 2018-2019 Ambulance Rates - effective July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019
