UPDATE ON EV INCENTIVES
EFFECTIVE MARCH 16, 2023 Free parking at silver post parking meters for electric vehicles (and other zero emissions vehicles) has been permanently suspended.
In November 2022, the City approved suspending all previous incentives related to parking and charging for electric and other 100% renewable fuel vehicles. This suspension includes: free parking for these vehicles at silver post parking meters, free residential parking permits for these vehicles, free parking at public charging stations, and free electricity at public charging stations. As of March 1, 2023, EV owners no longer can obtain residential parking permits for free and parking at silver-post meters is no longer free. Implementation of the other changes is in progress.
Charging Stations in Hermosa Beach
The City of Hermosa Beach has more than 35 City-owned electric vehicle charging stations around town, and several commercial establishments have also made charging stations available to their customers. Please note that ALL vehicles are required to pay for parking in off-street City parking lots and the City parking structure.
