The Hermosa Beach Police Department would like your help in solving and reducing crime in your neighborhood by registering the location of your home or business security cameras. By registering your camera, the Police Department will have the location of your security camera on file which can help deter and solve crime quickly in our community. The Police Department will not have the ability to access your video. If a crime occurs in the vicinity of a registered camera, the police department may contact the registered owner of the camera and ask to review recorded footage relevant to the date and time of the incident.
Individuals wishing to participate in the program can fill out the below form, or download the Security Camera Registration Form (PDF) and mail or email the form to the Hermosa Beach Police Department. To register multiple locations, use separate forms for each address. Please note: camera registration is encouraged, but not required - participation in the program is voluntary.
For more information about the program, or to report a change in status (e.g. no longer utilizing security cameras, change in exterior camera locations, no longer residing at the address), please email the Hermosa Beach Police Department.
