Sean Tanabe joined the Hermosa Beach Police Department in July 2004 as a Community Services Officer and was promoted to supervisor in February 2009. In his current role, Supervisor Tanabe supervises Community Services Officers who perform parking and animal control functions. As part of the Community Services division, Supervisor Tanabe has participated and assisted with the Department’s community outreach efforts including Coffee with a Cop, Rabies Clinic, City-wide garage sales, National Night Out and Fiesta Hermosa. Supervisor Tanabe has a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and is an active member of the California Public Parking Association.

Carlos Burgos joined the Hermosa Beach Police Department in August 2012 as a Community Services Officer and was promoted to supervisor in April 2016. Prior to HBPD, Supervisor Burgos worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for six years.

In his current role, Supervisor Burgos supervises Community Services Officers who perform parking and animal control functions. As part of the Community Services division, Supervisor Burgos has participated and assisted with the Department’s community outreach efforts and is the coordinator for the City’s Annual Rabies Clinic. He is also part of the Department’s social media team and is an active member of the California Public Parking Association.

Ennis Jackson joined the Hermosa Beach Police Department in June 2003. Ennis has worked in City government for the past 39 years with prior experience with the Santa Monica Police Department and Beverly Hills Department of Transportation.

In his current role, he supervises and participates in the enforcement of meter regulations including administrative review of contested parking violations. Ennis Jackson participates in the Department’s community outreach efforts including Coffee with a Cop and Fiesta Hermosa.
