The Hermosa Beach Veterans Memorial, on the east lawn of the Hermosa Beach Community Center, serves as a location to honor the sacrifice of those who have served our Nation.

The Hermosa Beach Veterans Memorial Committee is searching for new Veterans in the community to carry on the stewardship of the Veterans Memorial. If you are a Post 9/11 Veteran, we’d love for you to join us. A good opportunity to meet the current Committee members is to join their monthly meetup, the first Saturday of each month at 0830, to clean the Memorial and perform various tasks, such as flag exchange, minor landscaping, etc. Contact the City of Hermosa Beach, Community Resources Department for more information at (310) 318-0280.

“Veterans Are Timeless” Campaign

Annually, the City asks Veterans and their friends of family to submit Veterans for recognition by the City who have a special connection to the City of Hermosa Beach through the “Veterans Are Timeless Campaign.” All submissions will be shared on the City’s social media channels, City website, the City’s cable TV channels in the month of November and at the post-event reception following the Wreath Laying Ceremony on Veterans Day.
