In a continual effort to provide adequate parking, safe streets, and to minimize the amount of trash entering the storm run-off system; the City of Hermosa Beach would like to remind you of the municipal code requirements pertaining to Solid Waste Collection:

• Pre-Collection Practices:
  • Hermosa Beach Municipal Code 8.12.220
    • In most cases, trash receptacles shall be within an enclosure
    • Containers shall not be placed for pick up prior to 5 pm, the day prior to the scheduled pick up date
• Post-Collection Practices:
  • Hermosa Beach Municipal Code 8.12.230
    • Containers shall be removed by 10 am, the day following the scheduled pick up date.
    • The area where refuse is collected needs to be maintained in a sanitary manner by the property owner
