The Building Inspection Schedule is typically available by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the inspection. The Inspection Schedule can be viewed by clicking on the link above.

Please ensure that someone is available to meet the Inspector upon his arrival at the job address during the timeframe in which you are scheduled. Inspectors will try to schedule according to morning or afternoon preference, but preference is not guaranteed.

If no one is available to meet our Inspector upon his arrival at the job site, your Inspection may be cancelled, and a reinspection fee may be applied. 

Building inspections are conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.  Schedule inspections via our online form.

Building Inspector counter hours and phone availability is 7:00 am to 9:00 a.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The Building & Safety Division can be reached by phone at (310) 318-0235.
