Alert South Bay - Hermosa Beach Emergency Notifications
ALERT SOUTHBAY OVERVIEW
Powered by Everbridge, Alert SouthBay is a mass notification service that allows the City to alert the community. Residents opt-in to the system entering contact information and subscribing to notifications. The information the resident provides is protected and will not be used for any other purpose. When the City issues a notification about a potential safety hazard or concern, the resident will receive a message on the voice or text communication methods that the resident registered.
Thirteen South Bay cities have established an alert and warning notification system as part of an integrated, interoperable regional platform. The Alert SouthBay, emergency notification system aims to keep communities informed about disasters and major emergencies via SMS (text), email, phone, landline, as well as other means of communication. The notification system gives the Police, Fire, Emergency Management, and specific contract cities, the ability to deliver critical notifications to our community.
