      Application Process

      The application process and eligibility requirements may vary by position but will generally follow the steps below. 

      1. Create a profile on GovernmentJobs.com; or login to your current GovernmentJobs.com account.
      2. Find a position that interests you.
      3. Submit an application. Include a cover letter (Required).
      4. If deemed eligible, take a test (if applicable)
      5. Come in for an interview.
      6. Pass a background check & health assessment. Note: We require all new hires to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.
      7. Start your job!

      If you are changing careers (i.e. you worked previously in non-profit or private sector jobs), this is your moment to connect your transferrable skills to the the demands of working in local government.
