The City of Hermosa Beach provides an administrative permit process allowing “limited live entertainment” for low impact, family-friendly entertainment to increase business during off-peak hours in all commercial zones.  This does not apply to non-commercial zones, including the M-1 Light Manufacturing zone. This Limited Live Entertainment Permit (LLEP) is a one-time permit and the permit will expire if it is not exercised in any 12 month period or if the permitted business ceases to exist. In addition, no permit term shall extend past two (2) years from January 1, 2019. 

In addition to review by Community Development, the application may be subject to review by the Police Department, Fire Department, Building & Safety and Code Enforcement.
