The Code Enforcement Division:
- Enforces Municipal and Building Codes essential to keeping buildings in the City safe and maintaining a neat and orderly appearance.
- Promotes health and safety, conducts community outreach, and provides fair and impartial enforcement.
- Initiates and responds to code enforcement complaints submitted by the public, including building without permits, business regulations, conditional use permits particularly for late night drinking establishments, construction activity, illegal dumping, illegal signs and banners, leaf blowers, nuisance abatement, plastic bag ban, public right-of-way usage issues, short term vacation rentals, smoking in public, stormwater/urban runoff pollution, styrofoam carryout containers, and zoning enforcement.
