The City of Hermosa Beach has partnered with Project 529, a cross-jurisdictional bicycle registration platform that assists law enforcement and citizens in the event of a theft, damage, or sale of a bicycle. Hermosa Beach residents are encouraged to register their bicycles at our department's registry or through the Project 529 Garage App. If a registered bike is found, the information provided at registration makes it easier for authorities to reunite an owner with their bike. 

If a bike is stolen, residents can immediately alert the local 529 Network in the 529 App or website. Additionally, a police report should be filed using the information on the 529 Account to identify the bike. Remember that in addition to registering your bike, it is important to always lock your bike to prevent theft.
