Property owners are responsible for the sewer lateral from their property to the sewer main.  The sewer lateral must be replaced if damaged or in poor condition (Public Works permit is required for repair and replacement).  For sewer repairs that are the responsibility of the City or to report a sanitary sewer overflow, please contact the Public Works Department (please call for urgent repair/response; if non-urgent you may submit a request online using the Go Hermosa app):
