The City Clerk’s office will be hosting a Candidate Workshop on Monday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers for the upcoming November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election for the election of two (2) Members of the City Council and one (1) City Treasurer with four-year terms ending 2028. Prospective candidates and members of the media are invited to attend to learn more about the election process. The nomination period ends on Thursday, August 8 at 6 p.m.

At the conclusion of the Candidate Workshop, citizens may pull nomination papers. If you are interested in running for office but cannot make the Candidate Workshop, please schedule an appointment to pull nomination papers with the City Clerk’s office through August 8th at 6:00 p.m. by emailing cityclerk@hermosabeach.gov or calling (310) 318-0204.
Please note that City Hall is open Monday thru Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In the event an incumbent does not run for office, the deadline will be extended to Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. It is recommended that nomination papers be pulled well in advance of the filing deadline.
