Are you interested in running for Hermosa Beach City Council? On Monday, July 18, 2022, the City Clerk’s office will host a Candidate Workshop at 10 am in the Council Chambers (located at 1315 Valley Dr., Hermosa Beach, CA 90254) to kickstart the nomination period which ends on Friday, August 12, 2022 for the upcoming November 8, 2022 General Municipal Election. Hermosa Beach citizens interested in running for office and media members interested in learning more about the election process are invited to attend.
At the conclusion of the Candidate Workshop, citizens may pull nomination papers. If you are interested in running for office but cannot make the Candidate Workshop, please schedule an appointment to pull nomination papers with the City Clerk’s office through August 12th at 5 pm by emailing cityclerk@hermosabeach.gov or calling (310) 318-0204.
Please note that City Hall is open Monday thru Thursday from 7 am to 6 pm. However, City Hall will open on Friday, August 12 from 8 am to 5 pm for the close of the nomination period only. No other offices will be open on this day. Should incumbents opt not to run for office, the nomination period will be extended thru Wednesday, August 17 at 5 pm.
