Memorial Day Ceremony

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance when we honor the sacrifice made by the people who have died during their service in the United States military.
We are fortunate in this nation that brave people have always stepped forward to take the oath of allegiance as members of America’s armed forces. They have been willing to fight and, if necessary, die for the sake of freedom.
We honor and we thank all who have given the ultimate sacrifice and their families on Memorial Day and year-round.
The Memorial Day Ceremony, organized by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce as part of Fiesta Hermosa, will take place on Monday to honor the holiday and veterans at 2 p.m. with Mayor Pro Tem Ray Jackson.
