Hermosa Beach Mayor Mike Detoy will host monthly "Community Cleanup and Conversation" events to hear from the community and share information about City projects and initiatives, while also beautifying our neighborhoods by bringing together members of the community to clean up our parks, streets and other public spaces.

The first event is set for 9:00 AM on Saturday, January 29, at Sea View Parkette, which is located at 1870 Prospect Ave. in Hermosa Beach. 

The Mayor and Hermosa Beach City School District Board President Margaret Bove-LaMonica will be at the parkette on that day to listen to community members and provide updates on Park Restroom upgrades and other City projects, as well as other matters of interest to participants. Participants will also be asked to join the Mayor and School Board President in a community cleanup by picking up trash at the parkette and the surrounding area. 

The monthly gatherings will be held the last Saturday morning of each month at different locations around the City and with different participants. Residents are encouraged to bring their own gloves and paper bags for gathering litter.
