The Public Works Commission meets regularly on the 3rd Wednesday of odd-numbered months (January, March, May, July, September and November) in Council Chambers at City Hall (1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA  90254) at 6 p.m., or as scheduled by the Commission.

Public Works Commission Meeting

A regular meeting of the Hermosa Beach Public Works Commission is scheduled for Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 6:00 P.MAt their September 16, 2020 meeting, the Public Works Commission decided to temporarily start meetings at 6:00pm.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice.  Virtual meetings are held pursuant to Executive Order N-29-20 issued by Governor Gavin Newsom on March 18,2020.  Members of the public may email comments to anguyen@hermosabeach.gov until 5:00 P.M. on the meeting date. Members of the public may also participate by phone or through Zoom.

About the Commission

The Public Works Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council on all capital improvement projects, assists in the development and updating of design guidelines for public improvements, and addresses other matters referred to the Commission by the City Council. Five members are appointed by the City Council to staggered four-year terms. Members must be qualified electors of the City.  The Commission is staffed by the Public Works Department.  For more, please see Hermosa Beach Municipal Code chapter 2.80
