Los Angeles County has cancelled the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection event scheduled for January 16 in Hermosa Beach. No alternative date is known at this time. The community is still able to take their HHW to the S.A.F.E. Center at the Hyperion Waste Treatment Plant near El Segundo (7660 W. Imperial Highway – www.cleanla.com). The Paper Shredding event scheduled for January 16 from 9am to 1pm in the City Hall parking lot (1315 Valley Drive) is still scheduled to continue.
