City of Hermosa Beach Labor Day Schedule

As the holiday weekend approaches and temperatures are expected to rise, the City of Hermosa Beach is asking residents and visitors to do their part this weekend and help our community avoid a spike in COVID-19 cases. Here is the information you need to know for a safe and enjoyable Labor Day Weekend in Hermosa Beach.

City Services

The City facilities and services listed below will adhere to the following schedule on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020. 

  • Police and fire will remain open. To report an emergency call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies call (310) 524-2750.
  • Street sweeping restrictions city-wide will not be enforced on Monday, Sept. 7. All other parking restrictions and time limits remain in effect.
  • Trash collection on this day and the remainder of the week will be postponed by one day.

  • City Hall remains closed to the public until further notice.

Community Information

  • Face Coverings: Are required to be worn at all times in Hermosa Beach when Downtown, on the Strand, and City Parks and on the Beach. Fines may be imposed for failure to wear a face covering in these areas. See where face coverings are required
  • Flex Alert in Effect: With warmer temperatures expected this coming weekend, the State has issued a Flex Alert for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and is calling upon everyone to voluntarily conserve energy between 3 PM and 9 PM each day to reduce energy demand and help avoid rolling blackouts.   • Beach, Strand, and Pier Regulations: To ensure Hermosa Beach remains a safe place for everyone, please adhere to the beach, strand, and pier regulations. Group sports and gatherings with individuals not part of your household remain prohibited under County public health orders. Read the regulations. 
  • Business Listings: Many of our Hermosa Beach businesses are open for outdoor activities and takeout in compliance with health and safety protocols. Find Hermosa business listings.
  • Pack it in, Pack it out: If you're heading to the beach or our parks, please pick up your trash. It's Coastal Clean Up Month and we are relying on everyone to keep our open spaces clean.
