The Hermosa Beach Police Department is scheduled for a virtual assessment as part of a program to achieve national accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). CALEA will conduct an independent audit of Department policies, procedures, management, operations and support services  to verify that it meets law enforcement professional standards.

As part of the assessment, the Hermosa Beach Police Department invites agency employees, and members of the public to participate in a public information session to offer comments to CALEA Assessors.
