The Beach Cities Walk to End Alzheimer’s is held to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease. Due to COVID-19, the usual event walk will not take place this year, but the Alzheimer’s Association is encouraging participants to walk as individuals or in small groups on sidewalks, tracks and trails across the South Bay. In addition, on walk day, the Alzheimer's Association will display a Promise Garden in a “view only” format to honor all those impacted by Alzheimer’s at the Hermosa Beach Community Center from 10am-2pm on the north lawn. All attendees are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing while viewing the garden.
