It's back! Hermosa Beach will again host a community-wide garage sale on Saturday January 25, 2020 with concurrent garage sales throughout the community. Host a sale at your house, building or block and we’ll take care of the marketing!

If you are interested in hosting a garage sale for your home, building, or neighborhood block, please register by January 16, 2020. It is highly encouraged to coordinate with your neighbors and host a garage sale(s) as a group to attract potential buyers to larger sales.

 REGISTER TO HOST A GARAGE SALE

Initiated as part of the Hermosa Beach Safe Access Sidewalk Education Program, the goal is to provide the community with opportunities to make space in their garages to reduce the number of vehicles parking over sidewalks. The event provides the added benefit of cleaning up unwanted items from homes and garages, extending the useful life of items by reusing and recycling, and ensuring the proper disposal of household hazardous waste items. 

With items like bicycles, home décor, clothing, and more for sale, the garage sales will take place throughout the city and locations can be found on the map below or in our garage sale guide. Garage sale participants will also be sharing any unique items or goods for sale using #hermosagaragesale on Instagram.

To collect any unsold items that residents would like to donate, the City has partnered with local and national non-profit organizations to create a donation center where you can give a second life to items by dropping them off for donation. Additional info on the organizations participating and items they will accept will be posted as they are confirmed.
